Bay Area Illini Unofficially Crawl through San Francisco
An unforgettable Irish evening.
The Bay Area Illini participated in an unofficial St. Paddy's Day Barcrawl in
March to celebrate the infamous University
of Illinois holiday. Over
40 alums from over 25 graduating classes joined in the social occasion to
support the Bay Area Illini and promote one of the most social events of the club.
Alumni sported green T-Shirts that cheekily announced "Kiss Me I'm Illini". Alumni partook in games, dancing, karaoke, drinking green beer, and overall fantastic fun!
Unofficial started with
dinner at the Blue Light in the Cow Hollow district of San Francisco and 5 bars
later ended up at Jones Sports Bar (our Illinois
game watch location) in the Marina.
Our irrepressible alums competed to
- Do an Irish Jig
- Sing the Alma Mater
- Do an Irish
CarBomb
- Play a Game at a Bar and
- Drink a Green Beer
The eventful night made
others in the crowd stop and say to themselves “Irish I were an Illini”!
