Event Details:
Angel Island sits in the middle of San Francisco Bay and offers amazing views of the San Fransicso skyline, Marin headlands and Mt. Tam. The island has quite a history as an immigration station from 1910-1940 and a POW camp in WWII.

Hikers should meet at the Visitor's Center at 10:30 and will decide then which trail to take.  The Angel Island Loop Trail is an easy 5 mile round trip hike with 400 foot elevation gain.  The Northridge/Sunset Loop trail is a moderate hike to the top of Mt. Livermore (elevation 788 ft).  Other outdoor options include biking, guided Segway tours, volleyball and baseball.  Sandwiches, salads, and drinks are available at the Cove Cafe or BYOF for a picnic.

Ferry service leaves from San Francisco (Pier 41 and Ferry Building), Tiburon and Alameda/Oakland (which actually stops in SF).  The fare includes entry fee to the park and is $14.50 per adult and $8.50 per child.
