A near perfect Sunday afternoon shined down as the Cubs and Giants renewed their rivalry on September 27th. With temperatures reaching 90+ degrees, 45 Illini cheered on their respective team from the center field bleachers! Members of the Illini family gathered from all around the Bay Area to socialize, talk Chicago sports, sing during the 7th inning stretch, and recall their favorite memories of Wrigley field. The Giants got the best of the Cubs on this day, but look for the rivalry to continue next spring! We'd like to thanks all the Illini for a great turn out and an afternoon well spent together!
